Diabolik: The Original Sin, znana wcześniej pod tytułem Diabolik: Evil's Origin, to trójwymiarowa gra przygodowa, bazująca na komiksowym, czarno-białym pierwowzorze autorstwa włoskich rysowniczek, sióstr Giusanni. Angela i Luciana stworzyły w roku 1962 postać Diabolika, swego rodzaju antybohatera, który teraz pojawia się w świecie rozrywki elektronicznej.
The Original Sin w umiejętny sposób łączy klasyczne przygodówki z rodzaju point & click z elementami gier akcji oraz skradanek. Gracz wciela się w postać wspomnianego już Diabolika, a jego zadaniem jest uratowanie ukochanej, Evy. W tym zadaniu z pewnością pomoże fakt, iż nasz antybohater jest utalentowanym złodziejem oraz mistrzem kamuflażu, a swoich przeciwników traktuje wyjątkowo brutalnie, nie zważając na to czy ma do czynienia z przestępcami czy przedstawicielami prawa.
Porwanie Evy to bezlitosny szantaż – w zamian za jej uwolnienie nieznany bliżej porywacz chce dostać w swoje ręce pewien konkretny obraz. Problem w tym, iż w tej chwili znajduje się on w pociągu A903, zmierzając do Maryville Museum. Jednak jak się okazuje, wspomniany obraz nie przedstawia większej wartości i Diabolik zaczyna podejrzewać, iż za całą tą sprawą kryje się coś więcej.
Niekonwencjonalny bohater to nie jedyna zaleta Diabolik: The Original Sin – twórcy postawili też na dość ciekawy styl graficzny, łączący elementy 2D oraz 3D, a także wciągającą rozgrywkę i mroczną fabułę, obfitującą w intrygi, wątki miłosne, zemstę i żądzę. Specjalnie na potrzeby Diabolik: The Original Sin stworzono autorski silnik napędzający grę oraz system dynamicznych dialogów – konwersacje możemy prowadzić z ponad 30 postaciami. Miłym przerywnikiem są efektowne cut sceny przygotowane w komiksowym stylu.
